Personal Data in the Application Process
Personal data is information about personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as your name, address, phone number, and date of birth, as well as data about your specific career path, etc., which can be associated with a specific person with a reasonable effort. Information that cannot be directly or indirectly associated with your real identity, on the other hand, is not personal data.
Basis and Purposes for Processing Personal Data in Applications and the Application Process
If you apply to us electronically, i.e., by email or via our web form, we collect and process your personal data for the purpose of processing the application procedure and for carrying out pre-contractual measures. By submitting an application on our recruiting page, you express your interest in wanting to take up employment with us. In this context, you provide us with personal data, which we use and store solely for the purpose of your job search / application. In particular, the following data is collected:
Name (first and last name)
Email address
Telephone number
LinkedIn profile (optional)
Channel through which you became aware of us
In addition, you have the option to upload meaningful documents such as a cover letter, your CV, and certificates. These may contain further personal data such as date of birth, address, etc. Only authorized employees from the HR department or employees involved in the application process have access to your data. The storage of personal data generally only occurs for the purpose of filling the vacant position for which you have applied. Your data will be stored for a period of 6 months beyond the end of the application procedure. This is usually done to fulfill legal obligations or to defend against any claims arising from legal provisions. Afterwards, we are obliged to delete or anonymize your data. In this case, the data is only available to us as so-called metadata without direct reference to a person for statistical evaluations (for example, percentage of women/men among applications, number of applications per period, etc.). In addition, we reserve the right to store your data for inclusion in our "Talent Pool" for 6 months after the end of the application procedure in order to identify any other interesting positions for you. This also applies, for example, to applications for an apprenticeship or internship. By accepting the privacy policy, you consent to the possible further storage of your data and inclusion in our "Talent Pool". If you receive an offer for employment with us in the course of the application procedure and accept it, we store the personal data collected during the application procedure for at least the duration of the employment relationship.
Transfer of Data to Third Parties
The data transmitted as part of your application is transferred via TLS encryption and stored in a database. This database is operated by Personio GmbH, which offers human resources management and applicant management software (https://www.personio.de/impressum/). In this context, Personio is our data processor according to Art. 28 DS-GVO. The basis for processing is a contract for order processing between us as the responsible entity and Personio.
Data Subject Rights
If we as the responsible entity process personal data, you as the data subject have certain rights depending on the legal basis and purpose of the processing, in particular under Chapter III of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (DS-GVO), namely, the right to information (Art.15 DS-GVO), right to correction (Art.16 DS-GVO), right to deletion (Art. 17 DS-GVO), right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 DS-GVO), right to data portability (Art. 20 DS-GVO), right to object (Art. 21 DSGVO). If the processing of personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw this data protection consent under Art. 7 III DS-GVO. Please contact our data protection officer (see paragraph 2) to assert your data subject rights with regard to the data processed in this online application procedure.
Final Provisions
We reserve the right to adjust this privacy policy at any time so that it always meets the current legal requirements or to reflect changes to the application process or similar. For a renewed visit to this recruiting page or a renewed application, the new privacy policy then applies. In addition to this privacy policy, you can view our general privacy policy at https://lanch.com/datenschutz/.
